Html Coding
Html Coding is the markup language for web pages. It provides a means to create structured documents by denoting structural semantics for text such as headings, paragraphs, lists etc as well as for links, quotes, and other items.HTML is the language of communication that flies over the network. Although files are not necessarily required to be stored in HTML formatting, it is often found the most easy way to do so. Servers may store files in other formats, or in variations on HTML that include extra information of local interest only, and then generate HTML on the fly with each request

Meta Tags
So you make your own website and you want it to be a high ranking site but you don't have the money to pay for the best ranks. Its is easier than you may think to get good ranks with no money involved. All you have to do is ad a few meta tags within the code in your site. These tags will allow the search engines to better rank your site in their indexes. This will make your website rank in the top few pages of a Google search rather than in the last 5,000.

whois
The whois database is probably one of the most unbelievable things I have learned about in this class. You can type in any website and it will give you everything youve ever wanted to know about it. It give you everything such as the ip address it even tells you when the website was created how many days until the website expires. Even the latitude and longitude of where the server is located. It is amazing the things you can do these days. There are websites out there that allow you to get background checks on almost anyone you want. You can also find out these peoples information such as where they live even who there parents and relative are. Its amazing what you can do on the internet.

Domain Names
If you want to buy that special domain name for your website it isn't as hard as everyone may think. There are websites such as networksolutions.com and godaddy.com that you can easily check available domains. You can see how much it will cost you and also you can see if someone else who already owns it wants to sell it to you. There are some people who are just squatters who buy certain domain names in hopes to later sell them for more than what they payed for it. Sometimes these people may be trying to get a lot of money for these domain names but they will sell it to you for a lot cheaper if you just ask.
